- 200g digestive biscuits
- 100g unsalted butter
- 3 tbsp golden syrup
- 200g milk or dark chocolate
- 50g raisins or sultanas
- 100g chocolate (for topping)
Instructions
- Crush the biscuits into chunky pieces and set aside.
- Melt butter, chocolate, and golden syrup gently in a saucepan.
- Remove from heat and stir in the biscuits and dried fruit.
- Press the mixture into a lined square tin.
- Melt additional chocolate and spread over the top.
- Chill in the fridge for 2–3 hours until set.
- Slice into squares and serve.
Notes
- Do not crush biscuits too finely for best texture.
- Use good-quality chocolate for richer flavour.
- Press firmly into the tin for clean slices.
- Allow enough chilling time before cutting.
- Store in the fridge to keep firm.
