Ingredients

  • 200g digestive biscuits
  • 100g unsalted butter
  • 3 tbsp golden syrup
  • 200g milk or dark chocolate
  • 50g raisins or sultanas
  • 100g chocolate (for topping)

Instructions

  1. Crush the biscuits into chunky pieces and set aside.
  2. Melt butter, chocolate, and golden syrup gently in a saucepan.
  3. Remove from heat and stir in the biscuits and dried fruit.
  4. Press the mixture into a lined square tin.
  5. Melt additional chocolate and spread over the top.
  6. Chill in the fridge for 2–3 hours until set.
  7. Slice into squares and serve.

Notes

  • Do not crush biscuits too finely for best texture.
  • Use good-quality chocolate for richer flavour.
  • Press firmly into the tin for clean slices.
  • Allow enough chilling time before cutting.
  • Store in the fridge to keep firm.
